Hi Everyone, A few days ago I purchased a much loved A plate CB250ND-B in Blue. I acted quickly when this one came up as i had been looking for a half decent one to start my journey. I had the usual Fizzy when i was 16 then went onto an X7 and RD250 whilst my friends had Superdreams then left motorcycling but returned to motorcycling 15 years later as a Motorcycle Trafpol and as I was using the Jobs bikes, I had several of my own over the years, the last one being a 954 Fireblade. Now I'm starting to slow down and have more time, I thought it was time to finally scratch my Superdream itch and a few days in, I'm not disappointed. The one I bought has only done just over 4k miles but there are a few bits that I need to tackle to satisfy my OCD in order to get it into really good order. My early observations are - The tank has been resprayed and its a good job but in need of the 'preserve nature' sticker There is a cracked indicator lens (only one is original from what i can see) Front mudguard has a blemish and a couple of tiny dents (hoping that this can be rechromed and fettled) Mirrors are non original Only one Honda marked key although the other works Appears to have a full toolkit apart from the allen key Seems to have the wrong brake reservoir fitted. This one has the 4 screws and not the 2 screw one No rear reflector fitted Ive been told that its had patterned exhausts put on but not sure if its just the pipes. Its fitted with new Metzeler tyres..............are these any good on this bike? Overall I'm very pleased and it will be a keeper for me.

no need to apologise for silly questions, just expect silly answers (and eventually the sensible answer)

Lovely Bike, welcome along. Yes, two hole 14mm Master Cyl, would make it standard (caliper original finish was satin black) the 'preserve nature' sticker, ~ 87560-181-760ZF, I'm sure you could get one for a Ā£5- incl p&p (if it's a keeper).

Thanks for the advice especially about the caliper colour, I did wonder about that. Will try and get the sticker, mirrors and genuine indicator lenses.
Don't know why the wrong brake reservoir was put on the bike!
The bike itself was registered in Aug 83 and was only used for 12 months. Didn't surface again until 2017 when it was first MOT'd with 3,800 miles. I'd like to get it as original as possible but im more happy that it sounds sweet and has no mechanical issues.

It's quite common....chances are because it was left standing for a long time it seized up. Some people find it easier to seek a working replacement rather than fix the original. All the spares are out there if you did want to put an 81/83 spec back on it.
