I bought this tank today from a Brit bike parts dealer in Austria. I deliberated long and hard over a couple of weeks before buying it. To me the most wonderful looking thing about an A65 from 1965-1970 is the four gallon tank....in my mind it is pure art with the badges and knee pads etc. IMHO the American two and a half gallon tanks make these bikes look like a moped, not a fan. So I found a company Essex way who state that they can remove the dents, re-chrome and re-paint. I have seen examples of his work. A one stop shop if you like. Will keep you posted. I have decided to get mine restored properly, it has a few dents in it Ta muchly That'll teach me yo read the whole thread 🤦
