Sounds as if someone on here has an engine oil leak engine centre area at the front ?
A superb bit of honda design, those slots and centre head bolt oil seal sleeves.
Oil can leak past the 4 centre head bolt copper washers, leak from the rocker carrier to cylinder head joint, and past the oil seal sleeve that fits into the cylinder base/ upper c/case.
Lots of people in the past have applied sealer, too much sealer, in the 4 centre head bolt area in an attempt to cure this problem.
Sealer has entered the c/case holes and caused the c/casting to break in the hole area.
Have found half a hole lying on the sump floor !
Hope yours is not like this.
Check torque of the 4 centre head bolts to say 20 lbs ft as a test.
Copper washers can be anealed and fettled, or fit new ones.
Rocker carrier to head joint should have a minimum of sealer, honda bond or similar.
The head bolts should be renewed as the built on seal tends to go rock hard and leak, but can you get those 2 pesky items ?
The slots in the cylinder base can be filled with sealer, then when it goes off, trimmed.
When fitting the 4 centre head bolts, slide them down the holes so they sit at the top of the c/case holes.
Lift enough so some sealer can be applied as the bolt is started in the threads.
You do not want any sealer to go down the threaded hole, else it may/will burst the hole off.
The meeting they had that day in the design office at honda to decide on this problem must have been very heated, just look at the cylinder base holes...
Poor bit of honda design, designed to give problems...
I like o rings, they come in very usefully from time to time...
Well done honda.
I have limited finances and access to materials, alloy/steel tubing....
That bags of sherbert is for another day...
