Hi All, I need a replacement ignition HT coil, with removable leads for my CB400N (1979). I remember to read about Rex Speedshop's HTC1 (for Suzukis) as a suitable alternative with different mounting holes (that wouldn't be a problem to me...) www.rexs-speedshop.com/product/htc1-suzuki-twin-lead-cdi-coil-gt-250-500/Is that still the best alternative or is there something else that is available on the market? Thanks in advance for the help!

Hi, Thanks. Looks interesting. Have you tried it? Does it work fine?

Hi, Thanks. Looks interesting. Have you tried it? Does it work fine? I haven't tried it myself but I can't see why it would not work. I don't need a coil replacement myself but am going to keep an eye out for one of these when I'm at the car shows I go to so I can have a little play with it. Just too stingy to buy one for 20 odd quid when I don't need it! Unfortunately, I don't have any old school motorfactors around here that I could just pop into to have a gander at one. When I was living in Wales, I was on good terms with my local Partco and could do this and also had a great little independent I used regularly but he has got much bigger now and taken over the garage that used to do my car and bike MOTs. I much preferred it when it was just a counter! The good old days, when everything was much simpler.

Was in an end of terrace house and if you needed something they didn't have, they got it from Cardiff the same day. On first name terms with Ian the manager.
