Well, I bought this bike about 18 months ago, it has been sat in my father's garage since it was delivered, today is the day that I decided to do something about it, so, as I was going up to York, to collect some new (to me) wheels, I took my bike trailer with me, dropped it off at my fathers house on the way up, collected it again on the way back down, and, loaded these two on it, to bring them home Once home, and unloaded, I needed to make some room in the garage to store the RE First things first, it drastically needed cleaning, so, out with the Karcher, and a selection of chemicals.... Before...... During..... A couple of After shots..... Not sure, but, I think I might have a couple of small cover plates missing I think this will be a long project

Having done some research on my number plate I learnt how many older bikes have A registration plates
When in 1974 registrations were centralised to the DVLA there was a cut off where registrations were no longer valid
If bikes were re registered after that date an age related plate was issued except anything before 1963 was given an A registration plate
This may be a reason why your bike has an A registration on it
Later on they started using the un issued Scottish SU and SV ranges which were dateless registrations ASU 123 for example

Been to the Stafford show today, saw a '59 and a '60 Bullet, both had same tank as mine, although, there were some slight differences in other areas
Didn't get any parts, as most parts stands seemed to be BSA and Triumph parts, with some Velocette bits too, very few RE parts
But, some pics were taken of the '59 Bullet, to assist with my upcoming restoration job
