So, I've been to my local paint shop for some satin black paint for my handle bar switches. I'd rather go to an independant rather than halfords, plus you can usually ask a few questions etc.
I'd mentioned what I thought I was after, which was a Etch Primer, Gloss Black and then seal with a clear lacquer. However, he advised I tried another paint, its just a single coat paint which doesnt need a primer or lacquer. I thought I'd give it a go and try it out.
Got home and searched the paint (BESA-NATO-SAT), found the paint and it appears to be a 2K Arcrylic Paint. I thought "bugger!". I've always been under the impression I should avoid 2 pack at all costs due to isocyanate and the requirement for a proper facility for painting. Rang them up and that it didnt have any nasties in it and was fine to use outside with a filter mask on.
Now, I've checked the datasheet but still abit unsure.
Dont want to chance it and end up with a health issue, think I'm going to check with my painter for his advice.
I dont suppose anyone has come accross this? Or know what chemicals to look out for?
